Rudi Alexander, professionally known as Chizzy (digitally as "Chizzy_SA"), is a South African musician. Born and raised in George, Western Cape. After the release of The Heart of Winter and THoW (Deluxe), Chizzy took a break from music. Delaying the release of his then complete third instalment of the seasonal themed albums, Spring Fever, he decided to release a few of the songs as singles before releasing the entire project. The project was expected to release in February 2024 but then pushed back until Spring. His music style is a combination of soul meets pop meets hip hop meets rnb - diversity is key because growing up, he was exposed to all sorts of different styles and sounds in music. His music is akin to an embodiment of his recollection of life to this point - you can hear the influence it has, even the influence of the trend of music and how it affects his own sound. Making music since he was 18 years old but writing music since childhood, the growth as an artist is evident. “I started writing music at the age of 8/9, back before the internet was a thing. When you'd purchase singles at a music store, the CD's used to have acapella and instrumental versions of the single and that's how I started writing music.”
