Growing up in Michigan in my early years, Motown was playing constantly in my household. My mother listed to Motown, and my father listened to Rock and Roll and Country Music. My life was filled with amazing music at an early age. From Marvin Gaye, Dianna Ross, Issey Brothers, Steve Miller band, Ozzy Osborne, Hank Williams to Waylon Jennings. It wasn't until A Black Sunday in 1993 I found my musical calling. The radio said, " we have a new joint from Cypress Hill called Insane in the Membrane up Next. It was 10 seconds in when I knew hip-hop was for me. I quickly ran to hit the record button on the tape deck. For hours, I went back listening and writing down the lyrics, trying to learn the words. This is how I felt I knew it was destiny for me to write music. I was blown away by the mix of rock, rap, and a unique sound. My love for hip-hop was born.
