Born and raised in East London, f5point6 a.k.a. R.Cleveland Aaron is a Photographer, College Lecturer in A Level Photography and Creative Digital Media Production, and Olympus European Visionary. He began working with audio in 2007 as a means of creating specific sounds to accompany the slideshows that appeared on his photography website. His love of music was his birthright as he grew up in a home filled with Jazz, gospel, reggae, soul and pop and Rock. His main influences are Miles Davis followed by Sun Ra, Photek, Boards of Canada and more recently, Jon Hassell, Jan Jelinek and Massayoshi Fujitsu. His debut album, ‘KaleidoSound: An Introduction’ is a collection of Ambient, Cinematic and Visual Sounds based around his concept of the four elements. The idea came to him whilst he was working on a collection of short video projects, which brought together light and sound, two of his greatest passions.
