An eclectic concert artist, Olivier Pelmoine has invented a personal path, nourished by his multiple experiences. Passionate about the guitar since childhood, he has first played blues- rock in his native Hautes-Alpes. His thirst for learning led him to discover classical music, which he studied at the Dijon Conservatory, before joining the Ecole Normale and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, where he obtained the highest distinctions. His meeting with the violinist Sara Chenal, with whom he founded the duo "Cordes et Âmes", was a decisive factor for these two performers: they created their own repertoire combining timeless works, transcriptions and creations. The duo won the Mauro Giuliani International Competition in Bari, Italy, and recorded 4 albums for the Skarbo label, which were praised in international reviews: SanTelmo (North and South American music), Spanish Popular Songs, Taïgo (contemporary works) and Piazzolla. As the dedicatee of numerous works, the fruit of his encounters and exchanges with contemporary composers, Olivier Pelmoine has recorded solo works in Opus Guitar and in Echo. In recitals, in duo or in various chamber music formations, he has performed in France and abroad. Artistic director of the "Guitares à Dijon" festival, he founded the "Cordes d'Or" Association in 2013. He has been teaching guitar since 2009 at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Dijon, at the Ecole Supérieure de Musique de Bourgogne - Franche-Comté.
