Moonchilesnw is a melodic Rap and R&B artist and producer based in Minneapolis, MN. He was released from jail in 2014 after fighting multiple felony cases, he made a vow to have his voice heard and began cultivating his sound. After many failed attempts, MCS finally made his debut in the Local scene in 2016 with his first soundcloud single “Trust”, catching the attention of popular local artist who praised the single, but didn’t quiet solidify his status as an up and coming artist. Post 2016 he became known for his gritty blend of vocal driven trap-r&b. Drawing influence from all over, his sound is best defined by dark melodies, retro reverbs and ambient trap heavy back tracks. The 26 year old rapper/producer has worked with artist such as: Sounds of Blackness, Asia Divine, dazeoneast, yomazzy , 218, Solo Davis and the late Fredo Santana. As his production list grows so does his music catalog. After representing Minneapolis at the NAACP Image awards, snw quickly became a key figure in Minneapolis’ ever-growing rap scene. Labeling himself the “The only one really doing it for the city”, he talks about his vision of putting the city on the map bringing the scene together. “Give ‘em hope, that’s all I ever wanted to do, was give ‘em hope, and I don’t need a cosign to do it!” he’s got a lot to prove and the work ethic to match.
