Freezy is a London-born emerging artist based in Manchester, UK. He first discovered his passion for creating music at the age of 13, where he would release rap freestyles filmed at school on social media. This led to him developing his talent and sound before eventually releasing his music publicly, featured on platforms such as GRM Daily and Link Up TV. 2020 was a pivotal year for Freezy’s evolution as an artist as his sound and style progressed from the ‘gritty’ grime sound to a more melodic trap sound inspired by artists such as M Huncho and D Block Europe. In this year Freezy also incorporated his influences from his South Asian heritage into his music, joining forces with fellow emerging punjabi artist Joash to produce singles such as ‘Be Mine’ and ‘For Me’. These tracks caught attention from BBC Asian Network and resulted in Freezy becoming Bobby Friction’s ‘Artist of the week’ on the platform as the year came to a close With the easing of covid restrictions in 2021, Freezy featured on line ups of live events across the country. Performing alongside international acts such as Imran Khan, Zack Knight, Panjabi MC as well as many more. Freezy continues to bridge the gap between the UK and South Asia with his unique Trapwave sound becoming more established with every release.
