Midwest City, Oklahoma born and raised, Artist Dallan Dizzy hopes to break the silence through paving a way and shining light onto others from his city. Dallan’s childhood was rough because he was born with Thumb Hypoplasia, a condition which causes your thumb to develop smaller or in Dallan’s case, not at all. Although bullying took a toll on him because he was “different”, he always found that music was able to get him through those tough times. Dallan always has a great taste in music, he grew up listening to old school hip-hop and also heavily listened to west coast rap . In school, Dallan would perform by singing, dancing, and was best known for dancing like Michael Jackson. Dallan was inspired to create his own music within those rough times while often listening to Eminem and Kendrick Lamar. Listening to artist who had stories do tell regarding their hard upbringings but fought the negativity and continued to chase their dreams, pushed Dallan to tell his story in hopes of inspiring others through this music and more. At the age of 10 Dallan decided he needed a rap name , as he always wanted to fit in but soon realized he didn’t need to. Dallan knew he was special and was always known for being different, which lead him to the name “Dallan Dizzy.” Since then, Dallan has embraced the word “Different” and presents being different in his music today hoping that “Different” brings a more positive meaning.
