Born Ikechukwu John-Ogbuku in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, He spent his early years involved in different aspects of music from singing in the church choir, to learning to play the piano, to rapping old Heavy D & MC Hammer songs. He cites “The Eminem Show” and “50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin” as the inspiration to write his own music. KING STUNNA traveled to Malaysia to attend university. While in Malaysia, he would skip classes a lot of times to be in the studio and put out songs through Myspace and Reverbnation till he got noticed and grew a sizeable fanbase. He was once signed to Reshmonu’s R Records (Warner Music, Malaysia) and went on to appear on high-profile Malaysian collaborations & was regarded as the top African Hip-Hop artiste in Malaysia prior to relocating to Nigeria. He has been featured on projects by DJ Fuzz (Warner Music Malaysia), Black Dada (Universal Republic), Bryan B (Warner Music Malaysia), Altimet (Sony Music), Caprice (Warner Music Malaysia) and collaborated with Nigerian Artistes (Olamide, Sauce Kid, Duncan Mighty etc). He returned to Nigeria & since then has gone on to release chart- topping singles including; Double or Nothin, Amaechi – Run the Town, Higher, Compose, Celebration, Area Boys, In My Etibo and More. In 2019, he released the “5 Tracks of Glory” EP to critical acclaim
