Istanbul-based songwriter and musician, Cihan Bilgin, whose real name is Taha Cihan Saldıraner, was born in Kadikoy in 1989. In 2013, he began releasing acoustic guitar-based songs featuring his own lyrics and music. He founded the bands ‘Tamam O Zaman’ in 2014 and ‘Galaksiler’ in 2017. During this period, he performed many concerts on the iconic stages of Istanbul as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist. In 2019, he shifted his focus to solo projects and continued to release songs across a range of genres, with a particular emphasis on indietronica. In 2020, he independently released his debut single, ‘Kraterler,’ which was produced by Ozan Kınasakal (Particles). In 2021, he released the collage documentary ‘Her Şey Yolunda Umarım’ along with its original soundtrack album. That same year, he also released the singles ‘Neyse Ne’ and ‘Karadelik,’ produced by Ömer Çelik (Soft Analog) and Kerkayas, respectively. He independently released the singles ‘Televizyon’ in 2022 and ‘Gerçek’ in 2023. When 2024 arrived, he released his first EP titled ‘Ansızın’ with the label Shalgam Records. In today's world, where people are lost in consumerism, Cihan Bilgin aims to bring his unique sound-shaped by the collision of indie, blues, and electronic music-to the independent music audience, accompanied by meaningful lyrics, simple rhythms, and repetitive guitar solos.
