The group consists of Alex Trevino (Knablinz), Denis Mckenzie (Infinityface), Leo Johns and Cisco Karpe. For their debut album En Route, the Bandits took a unique approach to the recording process. Using battery operated samplers, drum machines and Keyboards, they set up an improvised jam session at a bus stop in Astoria Oregon and tracked hours of material. The session attracted on lookers and people passing by, who would stop to listen and watch the performance, which added to the experience. After, the recordings were cleaned up and distributed to each member of the band to edit and remix as they saw fit. The process of melding the magic of a live performance, with the refinement of a studio recording, led to a truly diverse and unique sounding final product.
