IndigoUgly was born to two immigrant parents from the Dominican Republic and Ecuador. After becoming a single mother, his mom often worked two jobs in order to support him and his sister. When he was 13 years old, his father moved to Hawaii to pursue his dreams to be a DJ. Indigo's dream was to become a professional baseball player. Though he always loved music, he had no idea that music would become part of his own path, a calling that could not be ignored. 
 IndigoUgly breaks free from the norm with his catchy and infectious lyrics, feel good melodies, and deeply personal subject matter - he seems to have something to offer every type of listener. 
 Once he became of age to perform his music around the City's night life, he would go on to perform all over NYC, opening up for artists like Papoose and performing in legendary venues such as Santos Party House, DROM, and SOB's. 
 Indigo frequently collaborates with his childhood friend AkilisMusic, who as a producer and mixing engineer, has helped tremendously to shape Indigo's growth and evolution as an artist.
