From the mountains of the Hudson Valley in upstate New York, Evan Mason is a classically-trained guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and composer. Evan’s new album, "Her Sound" embodies his most succinct musical expression through integrating elements of his signature sound including finger-style acoustic guitar, ambient, folk, and progressive rock, and neoclassical minimalist influences. The title, "Her Sound" speaks to listening to "her" in all the ways possible; to the Earth, to women, to the wild feminine parts in us all. In "Days of Old", Evan reflects on lost love, contemplating the lighter and darker aspects of himself in a time of coming of age. Personal reflections such as this, revolving around change, are a few of the themes woven together across the album. The album was supported by the production of Tom Deis (Via Audio, MILM) at Pineapple Room Studio in Kerhonkson, NY as well as instrumental support by multi-instrumentalist and composer Mike Reilly (Pretend Collective) and Walker Adams (St. Vincent, Telepathic Moon Dance) on drums and bassist James Preston. Evan's debut full-length solo album, "Her Sound" was released on March 22, 2024.
