CKaen is a 17 year old artist born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, where people’s dreams being crushed is a daily occurrence and making it to tomorrow is a blessing. The young artist states “I think I’ve lived on every side of town at least once in my life…” referring to the struggles with money he and his family endured during his childhood. Cameron (CKaen) began writing music since around the age of six. Always having a love for film and music, he had set out on his mission to chase his dreams in all aspects, beginning his career in theatre. He joined a workshop at the Youngstown Playhouse at 10 years old which opened his eyes to work on the stage. Now obsessed with the craft, he auditioned for his first real production at 12 years old, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ scoring a large role. Now a core memory of Cam’s, his career only continued from here. Landing many lead roles as well as ensemble roles in several productions, he was well rounded in the aspects of acceptance and rejection. This was when he decided to take his career in music seriously, creating his first official project ‘Falling’, an R&B trap mixtape which included a close friend of his ,De'Andre, which became a starting point for the both of them. Launching his career in music, he has worked with many other artists whilst also maintaining a relatively small fan base. Widening his range in sound by experimenting with new genres and styles, the 17 year old has made it clear that his journey in music far from over.
