Biography

King Brick Flaco (KBF) is a songwriter and entertainer born Bruce Carl Jackson, Jr. on Aug. 14, 1984, in Astoria and raised in Jamaica Queens, NYC. KBF spent his adolescent years throughout the streets of Northside and Southside Jamaica. Here, he observed angst in the community. KBF turned to art and poetry as a way of escaping the negativity that influenced his environment. KBF’s love for music started when he saw his first hip hop music video, “I’m Bad” by LL Cool J. In elementary school, a childhood friend influenced KBF to write and recite his raps. From there he found the influence to enhance his poetry to hip hop. KBF’s major influences includes Nas, the late great DMX, Big L, Rakim, LL Cool J, Tribe called Quest, and Kool G Rap. KBF was temporarily signed to 1017 Brick Squad/Asylum Records through the former Krazirome Management and Mizay Entertainment. (2011). Due to the contoversial split of 1017 Brick Squad and Brick Squad Monopoly, KBF became a free agent, and since have been distributing his music independently through his TOB Music Group imprint, and with Memphis artist and business partner Montel "MacIsMemphis" Wilson, F.R.E.S.H. Muzik. KBF focuses on philantropy, realness, street politics and positivity through his music. KBF currently has music on all platforms, including a collaborative album series. He released 3 5-Star mixtapes on DatPiff Mixtapes, between 2010 and 2013, and released his latest EP, "Queens Da E.P.", March of 2023.
