From the beginning, Tigera has always been a genre chimera so to speak. Alternative Pop Rock is probably the best category to fit the band into, but even that is an exclusionary description of what Tigera is. Devon Huckstep's polished vocals and emotive storytelling remind us of dimly lit cafes and acoustic guitars, but that isn’t really Tigera. The rhythm section, composed of Cody Christian on bass and Dale Smart on percussion, call to mind the heat of an unempty dance floor in a packed club on a Friday night, but that’s not quite Tigera either. The guitar duo of Alex Radish and Ben Koshick carry the spirit of good ol’ fashioned Rock & Roll with blistering leads and tasteful licks that headbangers love, but even that is not Tigera. Those are all things that Tigera ‘isn’t,’ but that’s because Tigera ‘is’ for everybody. This proprietary blend of musical ideas come together to make what is the music of Tigera.
