Biography

Ollie Twist is an American musician, producer, MC and guitarist. He is one of the primary founders of the underground hip hop label Rhyme Skeme Productions. He serves as project coordinator as well as being the chief contributor to the label releasing multiple solo albums and collaborative efforts since 1998.
In 2003 Twist released his debut solo album "Twistology" garnering local success in the Northeast United States and spawning a series of other projects within the Rhyme Skeme brand.
Producing most of his own work, Twist is a principal figure in the lyrical department and as a songwriter. He is also a primary feature artist on several albums assembled by the group West Zone; a hip hop organization from Poland under the label International Affairs. In addition, Twist was the main vocalist in the now defunct alternative hip hop/hard rock group The Enemy Concept.
2008 saw the release of the formidable and commercially edged collaboration of Ollie Twist & Tommy Marin on the album "Frequency 420". The track "Lazy Eye" features Raekwon from the Wu-Tang Clan. Ollie Twist's music has often been described sonically as cinematic. In 2020 he released both "Quietus" a synthesized instrumental album recorded during the pandemic lockdown, and "MDLXV" (1565) an album thematically focused on politics and the haunted history of Saint Augustine, FL.
