Raised on artists such as Eminem, Kanye West, Mac Dre and Outkast, Kuttybear emerged in the late 2010’s as one of Kansas City’s standout hip-hop artists. Born Stephon Colbert in Kansas City, Missouri, Kuttybear dived into his musical gifts as a youth. In 2018, Kuttybear released the first of his self proclaimed seven album series, Trouble in Paradise. On “Burning Bridges”, he lands somewhere between rapper and singer while other songs like “Flashlight” and “Faded” showcase his supercilious lyrical prowess. In 2024, You Gotta Just...Understand, the first compilation album from Kutty’s label, Lost Balloon Entertainment, was released.
