Biography

Annlaug Børsheim is a hardangefiddleplayer, guitarist, singer and songwriter from Hardanger in the western part of Norway. She is safely rooted in traditional music from Hardanger but work with music across genres and with different types of influences. She has her own label, Fivreld, and has released five albums. Her first solo album, November, was recorded in Scotland with a bunch of Scottish musicians like Steven Polwart, Kevin McGuire, Inge Thompson and Martin Green, produced by Mattie Foulds. She has done a lot of music and concerts for children and her two last albums, Morgonfrosken and Alle har en liten dør bak øret is a result out of that. The lyrics on both of these recordings are poems written by different Norwegian poets and writers like Per Olav Kaldestad, Ruth Lillegraven, Gro Dahle, Christian Løchstøer and Ragnar Hovland.
