Biography

Pedro Aguiar masterfully bridges his rich Brazilian heritage with his profound expertise in classical guitar, developed through extensive studies and performances worldwide. Born in Brasília, Brazil, in 1990, Aguiar's early passion for music led him to obtain his Bachelor of Music at Goiás Federal University under Eduardo Meirinhos. His talent earned him a CAPES/FIPSE scholarship, enabling a transformative exchange at Marshall University, USA, with Julio Alves. In 2012, Aguiar studied in Paris at the Conservatoire de Musique à Rayonnement d'Aulnay-sous-Bois under Judicaël Perroy. He then continued his studies with a DAAD scholarship at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich, completing his Master of Music under Prof. Franz Halasz with the highest distinction. Further supported by the Orlandus Lassus Foundation, Aguiar earned a second Master's degree in Contemporary Music, serving as an Assistant Teacher in Munich. The first Brazilian to win 1st Prize at the Alhambra International Guitar Competition, Aguiar is a prominent soloist and chamber musician. He has performed in Brazil, Germany, the USA, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Croatia, Spain, Italy, France, and Austria, winning fifteen prestigious guitar competition prizes, including the Salzburg Guitar Fest, XXXIX Gargnano International Guitar Competition, Andrés Segovia International Guitar Competition, and Dr. Luis Sigall International Guitar Competition.
