Colom has collaborated with great names in jazz, pop and flamenco such as Greg Osby, Nicholas Payton, David Sánchez, Eric Reed, Mulgrew Miller, Al Foster, El Piraña, Chano Domínguez, Raimundo Amador, Vanessa Martin or Jesse Davis to name a few. Artists such as Carles Benavent, Luis Salinas, Perico Sambeat, Chicuelo, Duquende, Juan de Juan have counted on him for their projects. He also participated in the legendary Manu Chao Clandestino tour. He has toured the US, Europe and Asia. He began his violin studies at the age of 4 to move on to the trumpet at the age of 8 with the soloist of L’Orcheste de Paris André Spelitch. In his next formative years he was fortunate to take private lessons with Roy Hargrove, Clark Terry, and Wynton Marsalis. He received a scholarship from the Berklee College of Music (Boston) and did his training in New York City. He also began his acting career in the movie "yours always." Along with Jerry Gonzàlez, he is considered one of the forerunners of the trumpet in flamenco.
