Di Tanti Palpiti

Biography

Verve, passion and 'full-blooded commitment' (Gramophone) are the characteristics which the German violinist Lea Birringer is most often associated with. Regarded as 'one of the most talented violinists of her generation' (Pizzicato), she couples plenty of attention to detail with high conceptual standards. Lea Birringer already caused a stir as a young student when she made her debut at the Berlin Philharmonie. After studying with Igor Ozim at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and with Pavel Vernikov at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität in Vienna, she is now a welcome guest at renowned festivals and leading orchestras such as the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie, the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the Polska Filharmonia Bałtycka or the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma. Concerts have taken her to the Gasteig in Munich, the Konzerthaus in Berlin, the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, the Louvre in Paris and the Musikverein in Vienna, among others. In recognition of her successes, she was awarded the Culture Prize of the Saarbrücken City Association. A passionate chamber musician, she has performed together with artists such as Igor Levit, Wen-Sinn Yang and Barbara Bonney. Together with her sister Esther, she regularly appears on stage. Their joint CDs have been enthusiastically received by critics. Lea Birringer's current albums 'Di tanti palpiti' and 'Transformation' received glowing reviews and were nominated for the International Classical Music Awards.
