With a catalogue ranging from dubstep, drum & bass, to slow lumbering tracks lined with thick basslines, Kamloops-based DJ and producer Enzyme is dialed into the emerging sounds of modern bass music. Since his debut in 2017 Enzyme has organically garnered the attention of international bass fans with eight self-released singles, a collaboration release on Aufect Recording, and most recently his release "Hit Em" on Do-Yu Digital. For Kyle Corden, the artist behind Enzyme, his passion for electronic music was ignited as a teen. He soon began DJing as “Korden” while in university double majoring in biochemistry, and in 2013 he landed his first gig opening for Stylust Beats. While DJing Corden began experimenting with digital music production, creating unique intros for his sets that soon became recognizable for their atmospheric nature, an aspect that still defines his music. Gradually, music production evolved from a side pursuit into Corden’s main focus. Enzyme was created as a fresh platform for his original creations, with the name reflecting his love of science and his relationship with electronic music. Just as enzymes are integral to the functioning of the human body, Corden sees music as an integral component in his life.
