Since their first concert in 2009, Joy Wellboy rapidly moved on from the local scene in Brussels to stages all over Europe. They played with Morcheeba, Alt-J, Eiffel, Planningtorock, Angus Stone, Kimbra, Selah Sue, Sohn and James Blake as a support band and headlined club tours from France to Poland, Germany to Italy and everywhere in between.  Swapping their beloved hometown Brussels for Berlin, helps to build their audience and brings their music to the ears of groundbreaking label,“Bpitch Control” (Apparat, Modeselektor). Ellen Allien instantly signs the duo. Their debut “Yorokobi’s Mantra” is released in 2013, the EP "Before The Sunrise" in 2014 and their second album “Wedding” in 2015. Songs like “Lay Down Your Blade”, “Before The sunrise”, “Birds”, "Mickey Remedy" and “I’m Waiting For You” receive a lot of airplay in Germany (Radio Eins, Flux fm,…) and L.A. ( KCRW radio). Remixes of “Before The Sunrise” by Dixon and "The Magic" by Maceo Plex become instant party classics all over the world. In 2017 “Les Pieds Dans La Merde, La Tête Dans Les étoiles” is released on ADP records. The single "Here Is Where I Belong" is released on Sizzer Records in July 2019. In 2020 they write ”Roll With The Punches" and “Not Afraid" for Douglas Greed's Album "Angst" (3000Grad). The EP "Dreams Stay Dreams" comes out on Fayer Records in May 2020. The EP "Sweet Love" (Klubkid Records), the single "Chez Toi" (Sizzer Records) in 2021. A new full album “Pegasi Lake” is out now!
