Michael Sean Colin grew up in Chicago, where he began his initial music training as a Blues and Rock guitarist. His interest expanded rapidly into Orchestral music and, as a serious film buff as well as musical fanatic, decided early on that he would combine his two passions into one. As his musical tastes and ambitions expanded, he enrolled in the music program at Columbia College. There, he studied music composition under Jazz and Orchestral giant William Russo. Later he did his graduate work at University of Southern California, studying film scoring under legends of the field like Elmer Bernstein, David Raksin, and Christopher Young. Early 2021 saw the digital release of Michael's acclaimed score for the film "Samuel Bleak." His next releases - "Sirius of the Horizon" and "Night's Heartbeat" - are instrumental pieces for relaxation inspired by the magical feeling of twilight. "Ratonhnhaketon" - a rumination on the main character from the video game "Assassin's Creed 3 - was released in late 2021. Michael's first release of 2022 was the score for the dark comedy film "Dedd Brothers," followed by "Magic Hour," the third piece in his series of pieces on the subject of twilight. His score for the contemporary crime noir film, "A Devil's Game" saw release in mid 2022. Michael runs his studio out of Glendale, California and has over 40 films to his credit.
