Musician/Actor/Writer Arun Blair-Mangat celebrates the joy of his diversity to the fullest, and has an ever-evolving, multi-faceted career to match. A star of London’s glittering West End, Arun developed and played the “groundbreaking” (Attitude Magazine) gender non-conforming role of May in Max Martin’s hit musical & Juliet, and followed in his mentor Billy Porter’s footsteps in Kinky Boots. His other credits include Lin-Manuel Miranda’s In The Heights (King's Cross Theatre), the gay-marriage musical Leave to Remain (Lyric Hammersmith), and Angels in America (National Theatre). A proud Londoner, by the time he was 10 he had already performed as a soloist at the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Celebrations, the Queen Mother’s 100th Anniversary Celebrations, and sung at historic venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and London’s Hard Rock Café. Since then he has sung across the UK, worked with the likes of Kele from Bloc Party and Miranda Cooper & Nick Coler (Xenomania), and his voice can be heard on everything from songs on Tweenies and Busy Buses, to voice work for BBC Radio, Spotify, Audible and Playstation. Now, pulling inspiration from the disco titans of the 70s, pop queens of the 90s, and modern musical theatre, Arun is writing and releasing his own songs, which capture his cheeky, bubbly, fluid energy, and put it in a bottle for whenever you need a sip, or two...or four.
