Biography

Nacho Laguna collaborates regularly as a continuo player with ensembles such as I Gemelli, Gli Incogniti, Artaserse, Les Musiciens du Louvre, La Cetra and Pulcinella. Likewise, he often plays alongside artists such as Amandine Beyer, Phillippe Jaroussky, Emiliano González Toro, Ophélie Galliard, Andrea Marcon, Emöke Barath, Zach Wilder, as well as taking part in relevant international tours around Europe, America, and Asia. This touring experience has led Nacho to play in music halls such as Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Opéra Royal de Versailles, Tokyo Opera City, Hong Kong City Hall, Arsenal Metz, Angers-Nantes Opéra, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and Bruxelles Cirque Royal. Nacho has also engaged in music recordings by Harmonia Mundi, Aparte, Näive, Mediaphore Japon, Warner Classics, and Gemelli Factory, as well as in broadcasting for TV and radio channels, such as BBC Radio 3, Radio France, TV France, Medici.tv, and Arte, RTVE. Additionally, he is co-founder and co-organiser of BallArte Festival, an interdisciplinary arts project, oriented towards the cultural promotion of the Valley of Benasque (Spain). Nacho’s interest for interdisciplinary approaches and collective arts creation has led him to closely work with artists from other disciplines, such as drama, dancing, and performance, including his outstanding work with Irene Serrano and Luis Sorolla (drama), Marina Ares, Olivier Fourés, Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker (dance), and María del Buey Cañas (performance).
