This is the story, that I want to tell. My name is Lucas, I’m a 23 year-old singer songwriter from a picturesque town in the northwestern part of the Netherlands. I started singing and playing before I could even walk, which makes sense because I’ve always been surrounded by music, thanks to my dad. I remember just sitting behind the piano, barely making it onto the stool, fervently trying to play along with my dad as he was playing the guitar. I remember him buying me my first guitar, us recording my first song together, which I wrote when I was about 9 years old. I always wanted to be an astronaut, so the song was fittingly called ‘go to the moon’. Even then I was fuelled by curiosity about the great unknown. And maybe it’s why I decided to live in Australia for 6 months after finishing high school. To find within myself what I couldn’t find at home. Living down under seemed like a dream come true, which made me realise that I had to start chasing my biggest ever dream and become a musician. My songs have always been inspired by Bono, John Mayer, Ed Sheeran and, of course, my dad, who I still work with closely to this day. But now I think the world is ready for my music, my style. This is the story that I want to tell. And it isn’t over yet.
