Dan started calling himself "Dan from Hades" a few months before he started to play guitar. Lorenzo wrote the majority of the music and some of the lyrics to Hades debut album Resisting Success. In the summer of 1989 Lorenzo was the founding member of the band Non-Fiction. Hades released three albums for Metal Blade Records from 1999-2001. Then did 3 solo albums. in 2007 Dan teamed up with Overkill's Bobby Blitz to release The Cursed Room Full of Sinners. From 2017-2020 Dan recorded four albums with Nathan Opposition as Vessel Of Light. The last two VOL albums also featured former Hades members Jimmy Schulman and Ron Lipnicki who released two albums with Dan and Jason McMaster as Cassius King. Dan's newest project is Patriarchs In Black with former Type O Negative drummer Johnny Kelly.
