Jarmal Terry was born in Decatur, GA. His father, Martin Terry, a legend in the music industry instilled a love and appreciation for music in him at a very early age . Growing up, Terry was surrounded by music especially traveling with his dad to different studios where he worked with legendary artists like Outkast, Goodie Mob, En Vogue, and TLC. After Graduating from Florida A&M University on a full band scholarship, Terry moved to Los Angeles to pursue what he thought would be a dance career. While he did enjoy some successes in the dance industry, he was constantly pulled back to his roots in music and decided to focus his sights on the music industry. He realized he was gifted in not just band but all things music and his talents range from writing, recording, producing, mixing, mastering and dj’ing music. He soon found himself with weekly gigs as a dj and is always a crowd favorite. Shortly after, he received his first Grammy from being casted in Beyoncé’s historical and record breaking Coachella performance as a musician. Motivated and inspired by his musical performance, Terry dived headfirst into musical production and arrangement and landed his first major television placement on Black Ink Crew Compton. Since then, Terry has been studying and honing his craft and has released an album and multiple singles that can be streamed on all major music streaming platforms such as Apple and Spotify.
