Jose Freedom is a rising Artist from the vibrant landscapes of Trinidad and Tobago and has join the wave of a few Caribbean Artists in the tropical sound now commonly known as 'Island Pop' or 'New Calypso'. Armed with a BFA in Fine Performing Arts, he began as a professional dancer in 2012 where his choreographic brilliance quickly earned him spots beside both homegrown talents and international stars. In 2020, a new chapter led him to the Czech Republic where he is now creating new waves to the dynamic arts scenes in Europe, quickly propelling him into the spotlight. Joining forces with the Afro Rave Prague x Balumuka Events, Jose is quickly becoming an instant sensation. Despite his recent starting, he has landed high-profile performances as the opening act for Afro Beats luminary Rema (August 2023) and Omah Lay (May 2024), backed by his dynamic dance troupe, The Hurricanes (Mikaela, Zoe, Sonik and Koki). Poised for stardom, Jose released his eagerly-anticipated debut single in September 2023 “Home and continues to release more Caribbean flavored gems for the masses.
