Boka's spirit, voice and rhythms stem in the ABC of tropics: Africa, Brazil and the Carribean. Always improvising, he sings in his own language as well as Yorubá, Bambara, Portuguese, Spanish and Hungarian, along with guitars, african harps (ngoni and kora), kalimbas and bombo drums. He once sang with Bobby McFerrin, lived in Brazil for years, and is currently leading an Afro-Brazilian-Caribbean choir in Budapest, Hungary. He is also holding dream journeys where participants, with eyes closed, embark on a dream-like travel, reconnecting with their subconscious in a magical, meditative state.
