Murkz is a multi-talented musician from Manchester. From his first rap performance in the school dinner hall aged 14...to owning his first pair of vinyl turntables and a copy of Fruity Loops aged 15, Murkz has since established himself as a household name in the Manchester scene.
 Murkz’s first major musical breakthrough came as a Grime MC. Numerous clashes, collaborations and sets with the best MC’s in the city propelled his popularity and led to him becoming one of the top MC’s in the North West. 
Murkz’s fun sound and cheeky personality led to his breakthrough into the UK Bassline scene, birthing the well known Manchester anthem “Manny Man”. Songs such as “Manny Man” and “Baby Boy” have over 1 million combined Youtube video plays. Ministry of Sound rewarded Murkz with a release of “Manny Man” on their “Sounds Of Bassline 2” compilation CD. A strong period of Bassline success allowed Murkz to perform across Europe as a DJ/MC and he still regularly performs all over the UK. 
After a lengthy break from music to concentrate on fatherhood, Murkz reconnected with his passion as an MC and returned in late 2019. Murkz has consistently released feel good music since returning, showcasing his versatility/unpredictability and earning support from major media outlets such as BBC Radio, Grime Daily, Plus 44/Amazon Music, Spotify and Complex UK.
