Dodo has been a fixture on the Swiss music scene since 1999 and is considered a pioneer of dialect reggae. As the successful producer behind the award-winning albums of stars such as Lo&Leduc, Nemo and Steff La Cheffe, Dodo knows exactly what makes a good song. His seven own studio albums are all full of classics, his biggest hit «Hippie Bus» is known throughout Switzerland and his most recent albums have achieved gold status. Dodo has received countless awards in his career, including several Swiss Music Awards. His impressive CV also led to him being chosen as the new host of the most popular Swiss TV music show «Sing meinen Song-Das Schweizer Tauschkonzert». Dodo lately embarked on a unique adventure. He built a mobile music studio in a shipping container and traveled with it from Basel via the Rhine and the Atlantic to Africa. The journey took him through various countries such as Germany, Holland, South Africa and Ghana to the place of longing, Yopougon. This is the neighborhood in Abidjan on the Ivory Coast where Dodo spent the first five years of his life before the family had to return to Switzerland because his father was dying. Dodo's container journey not only resulted in a fascinating film, but also in the new album «Yopougon - Way Back Home», which he produced together with various local artists on his journey. The new work shows Dodo at the musical pulse of the times: with Amapiano, Afrobeats, Trap, Reggae and many different cultural influences and languages.
