This angelic, but powerful songstress is known to give audience goose bumps. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 22, 1985, Kari started singing at the 5 in her church choir. By the age of 6 while attending school she experienced singing classical, jazz, gospel, and rhythm and blues. Although sport was her first love, she always knew singing was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. Today she classifies her music as Global Fusion with elements of Afro-beats, R&B, funk, blues, and Hip Hop. Her music is journey of Life, love, and pain. Kari is inspired by great vocalists like Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Sade and Brandy. Kari had the privilege to go on tour in various parts of the world with artist like BOB, Erykah Badu, Kandi Burgess just to name a few. She has been mentioned on Essence.com as one of Atlanta’s Top Vocalist referred to by many known producers and execs. Also she has referenced songs for Katy Perry, Rhianna, Usher, and Gorilla Zoe, and many more. Kari was also selected over hundreds of talented women to work with the # 1 talented songwriter, Ne-Yo. Epps’ goal is to bring back why music is essential to the world. Kari’s new EP produced by Carl Shackleton aims to add more flavor to the indusrty. With the lead single “So Cold” making wave on radio and the b-sided single “Y. O.” that’s taking over dance floors throughout the world.
