Major Niño was an experimental hip-hop duo from the Capital Region of upstate New York that was active from 2013 - 2021. Reflecting the vastly different backgrounds and musical influences of both members, Major Niño combined psychedelic Beatles-esque vintage pop vocals and psychedelic guitar/production with classic old-school hip hop beats, bars, and delivery. The pastiche of styles and influences meshed to form a sound similar to the Gorillaz crossed with Tame Impala and a dash of Chali 2na.
