Jelle van der Meulen is a Dutch jazz pianist who studied at the conservatories of Amsterdam and the Hague. His music is rooted in the jazz tradition but incorporates influences from classical music and hip hop. The trio further consist of double bass player Ties Laarakker and drummer Nitin Parree who are sought after musicians in the Dutch jazz scene. Together they sound like a unit which strives to be accessible to a wide audience.
