Janus Wiberg is a brand-new Faroese talent on the Danish music scene but already a well-known name with a large fan base in his home country where he often appears on radio and TV. The first release in Denmark is the single “Når Lyset Rammer Dig” which will be released September 18th, 2020 on all streaming services. The genre is catchy synth-pop with a twist of the characteristic 80s sound. The single release will be supported by a music video set in the Faroe Islands. On “Når Lyset Rammer Dig”, Janus Wiberg has teamed up with Søren Balsner from the popular and multi award-winning Danish electro rock band Carpark North and the Faroese singer and songwriter Marius Ziska. The musical dream team has several more singles in the pipeline. "We've made a conscious effort to create music that appeals to people not only on the Faroe Islands but internationally. I feel we've got off to an incredibly good start. Now I cannot wait to share my music and musical journey with the rest of the world," Janus Wiberg explains. All radio stations in the Faroe Islands loved Janus’ catchy songs and his distinct and powerful voice. Journalists described the song as the unofficial national anthem at the Faroe Islands and the music video has had almost 300.000 views at YouTube. That equals that every person in the Faroe Islands has viewed the video more than six times. Janus Wiberg and his handpicked band plans to tour Denmark during Spring 2021.
