Nougat, real name Klaudio, is a Vienna-based music producer with a knack for blending genres and sounds you won’t hear anywhere else. It all started when he picked up a guitar on his 18th birthday and never put it down. One of his early hits, “Sleep Tight,” made with childhood friend Neon, put him on the map after being featured in an editorial playlist. Since then, Klaudio’s been on a mission to create something different. A chance meeting with kora player Musa led to “Kora Cafe,” a unique mix of African folk and lo-fi beats. This project inspired him to launch Silk Road Serenades, a label focused on traveling across Africa and the Middle East, capturing the raw sounds of these regions, and blending them into modern beats. His latest release, 1001 Nights, takes you on a journey through the Middle East with tracks that fuse instruments like the oud into laid-back, hypnotic rhythms.
