Biography

Hailed “brilliant” (The New York Times), “an artist to be taken seriously” (The Chicago Tribune), “incisive, lyrical and tender” (BBC Music Magazine), “sublime” (Classical Ear), and “electrifying” (The Dallas Morning News), American pianist Elizabeth Joy Roe has appeared at major venues worldwide, including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Ravinia Festival, the Seoul Arts Center, Salle Cortot, Teatro Argentino, and the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Her multifaceted career includes collaborations with Leonard Slatkin, the London Symphony Orchestra, Daniel Hope, and Shelly Berg; critically acclaimed albums released by Decca Classics; broadcasts on the BBC, NPR, and PBS; Visiting Artist residencies at Smith College and the Green Music Center; and the prestigious William Petschek Piano Debut Recital Award.
