Biography

Michael Etheridge, also known as Mike E. was an original member of the Neptune’s. The group was formed with 4 members; Mike, Chad, Pharrell, and Shay. They resided and attended HS in Virginia Beach at Princess Anne High School. After school Mike, Pharrell and Sheldon would knock on the door of Teddy Riley’s studio located next to their school. With countless attempts to enter with no success, they were finally invited inside. From the moment Mike entered “Future Records Recording Studios” he realized that it was not just a name, but instead it was also the start of his future. Mike was the singer of the group the Neptune’s, before Pharrell and Chad went on to become one of the biggest production duos within the music industry. As time went on Teddy signed him as a solo artist to Lil Man Records/Interscope. Teddy gave Chad of the Neptune’s a $50,000 advance to produce Mike’s project with along with Mike. This was before the Neptune’s had a deal as a production team. Mike E. was the first solo artist with a deal in Virginia Beach, Virginia. While signed working on his album with Chad, Mike wrote for the platinum group Black Street on their album entitled “Another Level.” Shortly after, Lil Man Records and Interscope parted ways. Capitol Records then acquired Mike’s album. He released a single with Capitol called Masterplan that was executive produced by Teddy Riley. After a long hiatus of soul searching Mike came back new movement called GNextLife. Breakthrough
