Hailing from King Williams Town in the Eastern Cape is Rapper and Songwriter Bizzy Acwesh. Born as 'Acwenga Mpinda' with her first name meaning 'pure' she has pure love for the craft as she first started out in Music at the age of 12 with her first release being in 2019 with debut EP 'The Warning Sign' which received love within the Eastern Cape community. This was then followed by her first mixtape "The Rising Star" in 2021 which featured the likes of Blue K and Emjay Riisto. The release of "The Rising Star" opened up many doors for her as Eastern Cape's very own BhutLegend worked with her on a song titled 'Egoli Mfethu' which has since received visuals and lots of love in the streets. Bizzy Acwesh has since moved to Johannesburg to gain a degree within 'Bachelor of Arts in Live Performance" at prominent college, AFDA. This move allowed her to meet brilliant individuals in her journey as she built relationships that kept her motivated and pushing for her passion at heart which is music. This motivation influenced her entrance into CottonFest's 2024 OpenMic competition which she won on behalf of Johannesburg and since performed on the CottonFest main stage with sponsorship from brands such as Puma for gear and MTV Base for PR on Television. As the rising star continues to grow, 2024 is definitely her year to shine as she plans to blow her fans away with some well curated music in collaboration with some of the best producers in the country, namely MashBeatz.
