New Jersey-based hip-hop producer and recording artist Greg Beats brings a wide range of skills and experiences to his passionate career in music. As an instrumentalist, Greg plays guitar, bass, drums, and keys, and he also counts rapping and singing among his skills as an artist. Influenced by legendary rappers like Eminem (via The Marshall Mathers LP), Dr. Dre, and Kendrick Lamar, Greg feels most at home creating within the sonic realm of hip hop. But he also draws inspiration from artists outside the traditional hip-hop genre, like Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Bill Withers. In his work as a producer, Greg finds himself producing for a variety of styles, including pop, rock, and even blues. Originally introduced to the world of music by his dad (a fellow musician), Greg has been immersed in live music and performance since he was very young. Greg first started experimenting with musical instruments when he learned to play the recorder in school. He then went on to learn the saxophone at around age nine, and ultimately started writing his own songs in high school using his dad’s guitar. Greg has worked with clients from all over the world and finds a particular sense of satisfaction in knowing that his art can serve as a medium through which other artists can express themselves in important and life-changing ways.
