Thanks to his impressive knowledge of house music and carefully curated DJ sets, Kieran Apter has risen through Edinburgh’s underground to become one of Scotland’s most exciting talents. Raised in a musical household, with his father playing in various bands, Kieran’s early musical explorations ranged from rock to samba, while developing a love for hip-hop in his early teenage years. From a young age, Kieran would make the journey from his rural hometown of West Calder to Edinburgh, indulging himself in all the city had to offer, heading to raves, and falling in love with dance music while still in school. After moving to the city when he was 18, he soon became a regular face on Edinburgh’s underground scene. Kieran’s ability to seamlessly flit between genres while offering profound and thoughtful components that bring a rawness to each track makes his records as suited to the dancefloor as solo listening. Consistently receiving DJ support from artists such as &ME, Butch, Theo Kottis, Konstantin Sibbold, Jennifer Cardini and Sean Johnston has meant his records soundtrack dancefloors at clubs like Panorama Bar, DC-10, and Subclub. With a busy release schedule taking us up to 2024, Kieran has set himself up well for an exciting future.
