Olivia Berkson (she/her) and Hallie Malina (she/they) aka Berkson & Malina are a musical theatre writing team known for their “distinctly feminine” folk- rock style with stories rooted in mythology, coming of age, and nature. The combination of Malina’s deep and poetic words with Berkson’s dreamy and catchy melodies makes a beautiful balance that is Berkson & Malina. Their singles "Dear Love" and "False God" are from their musical "buried", a concept musical about the people of Pompeii and what it means to find light and strength in the shadow of a tragedy. Their most recent single "Blue" features Olivia (Liv) as the lead vocalist and is from their musical "Fated"- which is based of off the Greek myth of Echo and Narcissus. The song is sung by Echo as she heartbreakingly is left to fade away to become what we now know as echoing. Their album "Introducing: Berkson and Malina" is a compilation of songs from their two musicals.
