After he started deejaying in his adolescent years at school dances, it wasn't until 1994 or 1995 Guy Gadbois had found his true calling, playing acid, techno and trance at rave parties in Sweden, as DJ Emphatic. Networking with local DJs helped to hone his mixing skills further and also got Guy into producing his own music, exploring rave, breakbeat and trance sounds. In 2002, he also started to make house music, using the alias Guy Gadbois and self releasing it on mp3.com. Guy got sidetracked with other interests and stopped producing music seriously for a long time and focused more on playing records. He never had any music production training, and, filled with too much self doubts about the quality of his output ,he just made the odd track for fun. Thanks to the wonders of modern day Internet, sending project files to producer friends and collaborating has gotten quite easy. A long time collaboration was continued, with G. Coulter.
