Caché An aural energy supplement! - If you’re a dancer, you’ll automatically start to wiggle. If you’re an observer and think to yourself, “I’ll just watch”, think again. Your feet will refuse to listen to the resounding I-don’t-have-any-rhythm mantra that your brain may be accustomed to churning out — they’ll move regardless, in whichever way they want. Curious, revellers gather around dinner tables, along the bar, and on the dance floor, with a glass of wine in one hand, and the hope of finding the beat in the other. Many are unfamiliar with, but curiously captivated by the inviting sounds, as the drums persuade and beckon them to Gozala! (Enjoy!) — Latin style. Meet Caché , the Canadian Independent Music Award winner for Best Latin Alternative Group for their debut salsa album Blended. When they come out to play, so do the aficionados of live Latin music. Toronto’s Lula Lounge is internationally known for its presentation and promotion of Latin/World music, and the boys of Caché (which means “style” in colloquial Spanish) engaged audiences there for several years, as well as at the numerous festivals. Their CD releases include Blended, The Toronto Sessions and Looking from the Top they are all-original repertoire of salsa, cha cha, Caribbean-style cumbia, and jazz, with likable lyrics.
