Biography

Bash Bwa is an artist based in Washington, DC. His music career began as a grade school side project, releasing four early EP's from 2011-2014. In high school, the Kentucky-raised talent met associated acts, Ya-Ya Da Prince (classmate) and Professor Ravin Raw Funkworth (teacher). The three set aside classroom time to record the single "Strawberry Crush", which became an instant state-wide anthem of the region and a SoundCloud hit. Shortly after came Bash Bwa's debut studio album "Fresh Out The Oven" in 2015.
Bash Bwa left for Nashville, TN to attend college and further his career in the Music City. Here he released his longest and highest charting album, “OPEN SZN”. This 17-song collection featured hits including “Mama” (which debuted on radio stations) and “Whippin’ Foreigns” (a party anthem still steamed nationwide). The project also came with 4 music videos - “Reppin’ Til The End”, “Nachde Nashville”, and “Mingy Mingy in the Maserati”. The 2019 album “OPEN SZN” is widely regarded as his greatest project to date.
Since moving to DC, Bash Bwa has helped launch solo careers for rapper Ya-Ya Da Prince and producer Wan Gogh. Bwa also released 3 blockbuster singles - “Oh, That’s Yo Girl?”, “Cities (Freestyle)”, and “Quarantingz (Synthwave Remix)” - the last of which came with an animated music video by Mario Pita. Bash Bwa’s latest single “Apt” is due to release in late May 2021.
