Salaputia Brass has had the pleasure of performing numerous concerts, including several performances in the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie; at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival; at the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival; at the Brass Festival Meran; at the Festival Internacional de Música da Póvoa de Varzim in Porto; as a guest of ARTE TV show “Stars of Tomorrow”; as well as live broadcasts from various radio stations in Germany and abroad. With their thematically designed programs, they manage the balancing act between the highest musical standards and appealing musically to every audience. A particular concern of the “titches” (lat. Salaputia), founded in 2007, is the expansion of their own genre of literature and the desire to place brass music more in the light of classical concert life. The works from their own creative composer and arranger Peter Dörpinghaus, together with commissioned compositions and existing original literature, form the main component of their programs. Outside of the chamber music work at Salaputia Brass, the musicians hold various solo positions in top German orchestras, such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, Philharmonic State Orchestra Hamburg and the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig.
