Jim Territo began writing music at 8 years old. He has music composition and education degrees from the University of Michigan, taught High school and elementary band at Detroit Country Day form 2002-2014, worked as a Theatre music director and composer in New York 2014-2016, and has been teaching elementary music in Michigan since 2016. Since 2001, he has premiered 3 original musicals (one at 54 below in NYC) and worked as a freelance rock and jazz pianist, commissioned & published composer, and theatre music director. He is currently playing keys and writing new songs with the Mark Blomsteel Band and managing his most recent project, "The Daedalus 2 Mission: A Space Opera" "The Daedalus 2 Mission" (D2M) is a sci-fi-inspired rock concept album chronicling the life-and-death encounters of a team of robotic space probes. As they encounter their inevitable ends in the cosmos, they ponder what it really means to live. The songs embrace a colorful blend of rock styles. Emotional lyrics, hard-hitting harmonies, scorching instrumentals, and a glam-rock aesthetic make for a uniquely satisfying concert experience.
