INTA:LECT. Born, Joel Isaac Brown, began rapping at the age of 10. At age 14 he started freestyle battling at amateur competitions and battles in the Northwestern United States. At age 18 Joel shifted his focus to writing and recording. 
 At 35 years old, he now has the talent, experience, and perspective to succeed in the music industry. 
 When asked about his style, INTA:LECT refers to nearly every great emcee from the 90’s to present day. He has studied multiple rappers and styles since he was a teenager. His style is versatility and adaptation.
